Josh Thompson (born January 23, 1978 in Cedarburg, Wisconsin) is an American country music artist signed to Columbia Records Nashville. On July 27, 2009, he released his debut album Way Out Here in January 2010. The album has produced three top 40 hits for him on the charts: "Beer on the Table", "Way Out Here" and "Won't Be Lonely Long".

In Josh Thompson, working-class country has found its most authentic spokesman in a generation. A compelling singer, he is an artist whose songwriting reflects both the gritty realities of blue-collar life and the beer-fueled release of the Friday-night honky-tonk. There is no doubt about his work ethic, which was perhaps most evident in the days when he was juggling the publishing deal he earned just seven months after moving to Nashville and the trade he had worked at since he was 12. "I was still pouring concrete three days a week," he says. "A lot of times I'd start at 7, then wash off with a garden hose and head to a writing appointment. Some nights I'd write songs until 2:30, get up at 6, splash some water on my face and do it again." That work ethic, the honesty in his writing and the energy in his performances have combined to make Josh a powerful new voice in country music. Thompson’s Columbia Nashville debut, Way Out Here, showcases the man who has lived the music he makes.

Thompson moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2005. He worked as a songwriter, with his first cut being the title track to Jason Michael Carroll's album Growing Up Is Getting Old. By 2009, Thompson had signed to Columbia Records' Nashville division. He released his debut single "Beer on the Table" in late 2009, and it debuted at #55 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts dated for the week ending August 15, 2009. This song was followed by a four-song digital extended play which included that song and three other tracks.

Way Out Here, his debut album, was released in February 2010 under the production of Michael Knox. Thompson co-wrote nine of the album's ten tracks, and promoted the album at the Northern Lights Theatre in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. "Beer on the Table" peaked at number 17 on the country music charts. The album's second single, its title track, was released to radio in March 2010. Besides the two singles, the tracks "Won't Be Lonely Long" and "Blame It on Waylon" were made into music videos. Starting in February 2010, Thompson began touring with Eric Church on a 32-stop tour and was tapped for portions of Brad Paisley's 2010 H2O Tour. The album's third single "Won't Be Lonely Long" released to country radio on November 22, 2010. Thompson also co-wrote "Church Pew or Bar Stool", a song recorded by Jason Aldean on his 2010 album My Kinda Party.

Jason Clutter was born in the town of Evansville, Indiana on December 11th, 1981. He grew up in an old family farm house in Elberfeld, Indiana, which is situated just outside of Evansville. It was there that Jason would learn life's lessons and spend his days hunting, fishing, and building forts. When Jason was ten, his family moved to the small German town of Haubstadt, Indiana. He discovered his passion for sports, especially baseball. He had the support of his parents, siblings and grandparents, who were also his best friends. His parents would always strive to teach him the value of hard work, whether it was at home, school, or on the ball field.

n 2000, he graduated high school and earned a scholarship to Vincennes University in middle Indiana as a pitcher and outfielder on their baseball team. Jason graduated in 2002, with an Associates Degree in graphic design. He still holds the title for most saves as a closing pitcher in the nation for the NJCAA. Offers from colleges started rolling in and he accepted a full ride to Oakland City University in Southern Indiana, which is a NCAA Division II school. It was important to Jason to remain close to his family and they continued their support at his games. He went on to spend three weeks during the summer of 2003 in Italy, playing baseball with the USA International Athletes. Jason had high hopes and much promise that he would play professional baseball until his shoulder gave out during his senior year. Although he received his Bachelor's Degree in graphic design in 2004, he would never play baseball again.

After college, Jason began writing songs and singing them in local bars. This inspired him to start a local band and record seven original songs, two of which were played on his local radio station for almost two years. The band quickly went from playing to a group of 20 people to a crowd of 200 per night. They played across four states and included venues in Nashville. After going through several band members, he is blessed to be playing with his current band, “The Dirty South. Jason has opened for 13 national acts and continues to keep a very busy schedule and loves every second of it. Jason has signed with RowPro Records and is currently writing with some of Nashville’s finest writers.
